Colombian Brayan Sanchez wins first stage of Tour du Rwanda 2021

Colombian, Brayan Sanchez riding for Team Medellin has won the first stage of Tour du Rwanda 2021 that saw riders racing for 115.6 km along the road Kigali-Rwamagana.

Brayan Sánchez, 26, has won the stage using 2 hours, 33 minutes and 43 seconds to cross the finishing line.

He is the 7th Colombian rider to win a stage at Tour du Rwanda.

Two Rwandans including Hakizimana Seth and Uhiriwe Byiza Renus emerged 14th and 15th respectively.

The 13th edition of Tour du Rwanda that kicked off today will run from 2nd to 9th May 2021.

The second stage scheduled on 3rd May 2021 will see riders racing for120,5km-road from Kigali heading to Huye.
